Shrimp or Crawfish Beignets

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of shrimp or crawfish (chopped)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 TBS melted butter
  • 6 Green onions finely chopped
  • You’re favorite creole seasoning (I use Tony’s)
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread flour

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in frying pot to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine egg, protein, butter, green onions, and seasoning and mix well.
  3. Add flour and mix until well combined. Mixture will be wet.
  4. Drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown. I used a small scoop but a spoon will work.
